PBIS at Tracy
What is PBIS?
Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports, is a framework that recognizes the positive contributions and behaviors that students demonstrate. Our school goal is to empower students to achieve academic, emotional, and social goals.
How does PBIS work?
A key of the PBIS system is prevention. The foundational school wide Behavior Expectations for Tracy Elementary School are:
Be Respectful!
Be Responsible!
Be Safe!
Be Kind!
Acknowledging and reinforcing positive behavior is one of the best ways to change inappropriate behavior and encourage appropriate behavior. At Tracy Elementary School, each student will have the opportunity to earn Trojan Gold Tickets when demonstrating any of the four behavior expectations. Each month, TK/K thru 3rd grade students will enjoy shopping trips to the PBIS Store as well as participating in periodic school-wide celebrations. 4th thru 6th grade students collect tickets as a class to redeem for a special class event.
